About the Business
After leaving University with a degree in Biology, and then working for a spell for Shell Expro and other oil and gas companies, I decided in the summer of 1995 to start a career in gardening. I completed a City and Guilds 'Soft Landscape and Design' course at Capel Manor Horticultural College in Enfield. This was an excellent grounding for everything that I do now, but so much more has been learnt since then!
I enjoy the fact that there is still always something new to learn in gardening, from noting how plants fare in different conditions, to observing the effect of garden pests on plants. I like to visit the RHS shows such as Chelsea and Hampton Court to see the current trends in design and planting, and also for product sourcing.
