About the Business
My design philosophy is to create a sense of harmony springing from the wishes and dreams of the client, my own vision and the many factors influencing the garden, including the local landscape and practical considerations such as parking or planning permission. The spaces within a garden are very important, each having the potential for its own atmosphere. The framework which links them should be strong and flowing.
I enjoy connecting the house to the garden and bringing the design to life with the plants, which I often put in myself. Many of the sites have been awkward or steeply sloping and it has been a particular satisfaction to convert these into something useful and enjoyable, where a sense of despair had set in!
